UPWC delegation met with Mongla and Wa delegations

UPWC Vice Chairman U Thein Zaw meets delegations of Mongla and Wa special regions.

Nay Pyi Taw, 23 Oct — The delegation led by Vice Chairman U Thein Zaw of Union Peace-Making Work Committee met with delegations led by Chairman U Sai Lin of Mongla Special Region (4) and Vice Chairman U Shao Mi Lian of Wa Special Region (2) in Shan State on 22 October.
Also present at the meeting were Union Ministers U Khin Maung Soe and U Win Myint, Chairman of Pyithu Hluttaw Agriculture and Livestock Breeding Development Committee U Soe Naing, Shan State Chief Minister U Sao Aung Myat, Commander of Triangle Region Command Maj-Gen Than Tun Oo and officials.
Participants at the meeting frankly discussed the current peace process, nationwide ceasefire and sustainable peace, cooperation for the three main national causes and ethnic affairs, regional development and matters related to armed forces of all the parties.
The national race delegations also gave their suggestion that some media should be careful of their writing and speech that could harm the national unity and internal peace during the period when efforts are being made for nationwide ceasefire and sustainable peace.
Afterwards, the union ministers, the chief minister and officials explained the regional development tasks.
The meeting concluded in the afternoon.
In the evening, Chairman U Sai Lin of Mongla Special Region (4) hosted a dinner in honour of the delegations led by U Thein Zaw and U Shao Mi Lian.
On Thursday, the delegation led by U Thein Zaw, together with the two other delegations, visited Myanmar-China Border Gate in Mongla.
