The Development of Water Resources and Improvement of River Systems issued a warning that the waterway will be temporarily closed during the construction of the 132 KV transmission line across the Ayeyawady River between Malun village in Minhla Township and Pahtanago village in Magway Township, Magway Region.
The Department of Power Transmission and System Control-DPTSC launches the changing and installation of the power transmission line across the Ayeyawady River from 18 to 24 August daily between 7 pm and 3 pm. As such, while the transmission line is being installed, the supervision and control teams will watch it by boat in the Ayeyawady River in the work sites leading the waterway to be temporarily closed.
The statement has issued a notice to the vessels which will pass through the waterway to stop and wait at a place where they are free from the work site and only run through it with the permission of the supervisory team. — TWA/MKKS
