XXXII SEA Games: Myanmar grabs two golds for Sepak Takraw, one for Billiards

Myanmar teams won more gold medals as SEA Games sports events were continued in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 10, and 11 May.
Sepak Takraw competitions were held at Basketball Hall NSTC, and the Myanmar men’s Hoop Takraw team won a gold medal with 680 points by passing silver medalist the Philippines, and the bronze winner Cambodia.
In the Women’s Hoop Takraw event, team Myanmar secured one more gold with 750 points by beating the silver medalist the Philippines and bronze medalist Cambodia.
Next, Billiard competitions were continued at Aeon Hall, Aeon Mall Sen Sok and Maung Maung (alias) Bhone Myint Kyaw secured one more goal for Myanmar as he beat Singapore (silver medalist), and Viet Nam (bronze medalist) in the Men’s Single – 9-ball Pool Event.
In turn, Wushu events were held at Chroy Changvar Convention Centre, Hall A and Sandi Oo and Aye Thitsar Myint picked one silver medal for Myanmar with 9.403 points after competing with Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia in the Women’s Taolu (Duilian) Event of Wushu.
Next, Myanmar’s Aye Thitsa Myint earned the bronze medal with 9.143 points during the Women’s Nanquan event against Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Viet Nam.
Similarly, Kun Khmer events were held at Morodok Elephant Hall 1, and Myanmar’s May Thazin Htoo won the silver at the Women’s 40-kg event and Hein Thu Aung garnered the bronze at Men’s 54-kg event.
Likewise, Badminton events were held at Morodok Techo Badminton Hall, Myanmar team won the silver medal at the Men’s and Women’s Mixed Badminton Events.
Myanmar Cricket Women’s Team also picked the bronze with 24 points at the Six a Side Cricket Event held at AZ Group Cricket Oval, Hun Sen Boulevard.
On the same day, Myanmar men’s football team also beat the Philippines team 1-0 at the Smart RSN Stadium.
On 10 May, Myanmar competed in Petanque, Sepak Takraw, Badminton, Tennis, Billiard, Lehwei, Kun Khmer, Volleyball, Football, Track and Field, and Cricket and won three golds, three silvers, and three bronzes.
On 11 May, Myanmar teams also participated in Wushu, e-Sports, Volleyball, Kun Khmer, Cricket, Sepak Takraw, Track and Field, and Billiard.
In the XXXII SEA Games, Myanmar collected 56 medals so far (14 golds, 11 silvers, and 31 bronzes) to date. — MNA/KZL
