The winding up event of the 2022 Mid-Year Gems Emporium is in progress yesterday.

The closing ceremony of the 2022 Mid-Year Gems Emporium was held at the Maniradana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday evening.
The bids for jade lots (from No 1,501 to No 2,150) were checked by officials and they announced that 519 jade lots were sold.
Four hundred pearl lots, 120 gem lots and 2,150 jade lots were on sale at the 2022 Mid-Year Gems Emporium for local and foreign gem merchants under the open tender system between 20 and 25 October.
Through the sale, the emporium successfully sold 362 pearl lots, 55 gem lots and 1,836 jade lots.
It is reported that local and foreign gem dealers who succeeded in their bids at the emporium will have to settle the payment within 60 days as specified in the transaction contract.
Many opportunities such as the financial circulation for gem merchants, the availability of raw materials for those who produce finished jewels and job prospects for workers in the gem sector can be opened up through the selling of Myanmar gems. — MNA
