23 Myanmar seamen stay quarantine in Kawthoung

A total of 23 Myanmar seamen who signed off from the MV Trans Future 1 of Japan anchored in the Andaman Sea arrived in Kawthoung on 22 September evening and are currently held under hotel quarantine. The local officials of jetty and health departments helped them with medical tests and other supplies and put under 14-day hotel quarantine, while their swabs will be sent to the National Health Laboratory of Yangon.
These 23 seafarers had swapped their duties with another 23 seafarers including Captain U Than Tun Win for MV Trans Future 1.
Similarly, the MV Camellia, which does not have any seamen who sign off, left from Kawthoung Myoma jetty carrying another 7 seamen including Captain U Naing Lin Tun on the same day. —Kyaw Soe (Kawthoung) (Translated by Khine Thazin Han)
