Shwedagon Pagoda Trustee conducted a 564th ceremony to donate cash and present certificates to the donors at Shwedagon Pagoda platform near the old Buddha image hall of southern stairway yesterday afternoon.
At the ceremony, donors donated cash donation that was accepted by Trustee Board alternating chair and members and in return presented certificates of honors to the donors.
The donors, attendees and Trustee Board members then took five precepts from Trustee Board Ovadacariya State Sangha Maha Nayaka member, Agga Maha Panita Agga Maha Gandavasaka Panita, Yangon Region, Bahan Township Nyaungdon Pali Takkatho Monastery Sayadaw Bhaddanta Pawara Bivamsa, shared merit, listened to a sermon and concluded the ceremony. A total of 160 donors donated 158 gold plates and cash totaling more than K 1,541 million it is learnt.
