Police arrest insurgents, associates in bomb attacks in Mandalay

The police arrested the people who committed the handmade bomb attacks on public roads of Chanmyathazi Township of Mandalay Region and other suspects together with the explosive materials yesterday.
Two men riding a motorcycle threw a handmade bomb into a shop called ‘RD Mobile” at the corner of 59th street and Manawhari street of Kanthayar Ward of Chanmyathazi Township yesterday. Furniture of mobile phone shop and a light truck were damaged in the explosion.
The security forces conducted an investigation and arrested Pyae Phyo and Wai Yan (aka) Shan Lay, who live in Thinpankone Ward of Pyigyitagun Township, at the corner of 59th and 108th streets of Kanthayar Ward.
They testified to the officials that Nga Pyae (aka) Myo Hlaing Win from Pyigyitagun Township gave them K50,000 per bomb to explode, so they committed such bomb attacks.
Then, the police raided the house of Nga Pyae (aka) Myo Hlaing Win and only found the materials used in riots.
According to the words of other detainees, the security forces raided the low-cost housing in Myayi Nandar Ward of Chanmyathazi Township. They arrested six men and three women, including Arkar, together with explosive and anti-government materials.
The officials will take actions against those who committed the bomb attacks and other participants – eight men and three women, including Pyae Pyo under the law. — MNA
