Trials for former president U Win Myint, former state counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi start at special court in Zabuthiri Township

The trials for cases against former president U Win Myint and former state counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi were heard at the special court in Zabuthiri Township on 14 June. The special court started hearing the trials for the case prosecuted against U Win Myint under the Natural Disaster Management Law and the cases against Daw Aung San Suu Kyi under the Communications Law, the Export and Import Law and the Natural Disaster Management Law. Before the trials, they were allowed to meet with their lawyers freely. — MNA
