A working committee on Myanmar-China trade resumption held a coordinating meeting at 9:30 am on 22 March 2022 in the Kachin State government office, highlighting improving the trucking services through the Kampaiti border post and the systematic trucking.

A working committee on Myanmar-China trade resumption held a coordinating meeting at 9:30 am on 22 March 2022 in the Kachin State government office, highlighting improving the trucking services through the Kampaiti border post and the systematic trucking.
At the meeting, Kachin State Minister U Myo Swe for Economy, in his capacity as chairman of the committee, stated that cross-border trade between Myanmar and China resumed on account of the sustained efforts. Next, he urged the state committee members to monitor the truckers to ensure compliance with the COVID health protocols.
Later, committee vice-chair State Minister U Kyaw Mies Khaing for Ethnic Affairs, officials concerned from the committee, border checkpoints, State Freight Forwarders’ Association and Crop Producers Association discussed matters regarding freight hauling conditions, COVID-19 testing and surveillance for truck drivers and preventive measures for cross border movements of goods as per the bilateral agreement, the exportation of agricultural products including tissue-culture banana, and increasing the number of trucks, and monitoring plans for trucking services.
