SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win addresses Scrutiny Committee Meeting on Conferring Honorary Titles, Medals

State Administration Council Vice-Chair Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win chairs the Scrutiny Committee Meeting on Conferring Honorary Titles and Medals in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

Patron of Scrutiny Committee on Conferring the Honorary Titles and Medals Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win delivered an address at the meeting of the committee regarding the honorary titles and medals to be conferred on 27 March 2022 at the meeting hall of the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The meeting was attended by Union Ministers Lt-Gen Soe Htut, U Win Shein and Dr Thida Oo, Deputy Minister Maj-Gen Soe Tint Naing, the permanent secretaries and officials of ministries concerned.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Senior General said there is a plan to confer the honorary titles and medals after the Armed Forces Day Ceremony to be held on 27 March. According to the protocols, the released lists of honorary titles and medals must be awarded on Independence Day, 2024. But, while the government is maintaining to achieve a firm democratic system of the country, there are government employees who have all shown their sense of duty in operations, sacrificed their lives and been injured seriously. Therefore, the meeting is held at present to award those who have deserved them by holding the grand ceremony on Diamond Jubilee Independence Day for 2023.
The committee should work hard not to leave anyone for any strata in conferring the honorary titles and medals.
Then, Secretary of the Scrutiny Committee Maj-Gen Soe Tint Naing briefed all on the work procedures of the committee and committee member Vice Adjutant-General explained the military honorary titles and medals.
The attendees discussed giving honorary titles and medals to the government employees who were injured or dead while serving duties and the Vice-Senior General concluded the meeting after giving the proper instructions. — MNA
