MoFA, MoIC celebrate Thingyan festival in Nay Pyi Taw

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of International Cooperation celebrated the Maha Thingyan Festival (Akyo Day-the first day of Thingyan festival) in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The festival was attended by the MoIC Union minister and wife, the MoFA deputy minister and wife, the permanent secretary, directors-general and departmental staff.
The Union minister and the deputy minister first made opening speeches and extended best wishes. Then, the dance troupes of two ministries performed Thingyan choral dances. The participants also enjoyed Myanmar traditional food such as vermicelli soup, Mote Latt Saung and Shwe Yin Aye. —MNA
