MoTC Union Minister attends opening ceremony of ministry’s Maha Thingyan Pandal

Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San and his wife, accompanied by deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, heads of departments and their wives, attended an opening ceremony of the Maha Thingyan Water Festival Pandal at the Myanma Railways headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw on 13 April.
In the afternoon, the Union minister and party attended the pre-festival celebration of the traditional Myanma Thingyan Water Festival held in the hall of the Office No 5 of the Ministry Office.
The staffers performed Thingyan dances, and the Union minister and his wife awarded the coral dance troupes and sprinkled Thingyan water on them.
Next, the Union minister and party visited Office No 2 and No 29 and then arrived at the Myanma Railways Headquarters Maha Thingyan Water Festival Pandal.
Young dancing troupes performed Thingyan dances with Thingyan songs, and the Union minister and his wife presented awards to coral dance troupes.
Afterwards, guests and staff families happily played water to usher in the Thingyan Water Festival days.—MNA
