Drugs seized in some townships across Myanmar

A combined inspection team consisting of members of the Nay Pyi Taw Police Force examined a house of Ma Mar San in Thonelanzone village in Tatkon Township at 12:40 pm on 19 April and seized 4,200 ecstasy tablets.
At 4:00 pm the same day, the combined inspection team searched a suspected Toyota Mark-X car at the guesthouse in Sitarpu Ward in Myitkyina Township and found 0.44 kilogramme of heroin with two persons, Ko Wai Phyo Thu and Ma Thin Lei Mon. At 6:00 pm the same day, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a suspected Honda Airwave car driven by Ma Khaing Thazin Nwe (a) Naw Alight and found 78,000 ecstasy tablets with Ma Lay Khun, Ma Thuzar (a) Moe Moe, Ma Nan Nyunt Nyunt Tin (a) Nan Mu.
At 8:30 pm the same day, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a house of Ko Aung San Win in Shwe BonThar Ward in Mogok Township and seized 0.49 kilogramme of heroin and 3,800 ecstasy tablets.
At 4:15 pm the same day, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a house of Ma Ah Htwan in Kaungmutong Ward in Muse Township and seized 4,000 ecstasy tablets and 0.7 kilogramme of opium extract.
They are prosecuted under the Anti-Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the Myanmar Police Force stated. — MNA
