Collaborative efforts needed to render best services for electricity needs of the people: MoEP & MoE Union Minister

Our ministry is a public service department and it is necessary to work together with good intentions as much as possible to meet the electricity needs of the people and provide the best service, said Union Minister U Thaung Han of the Ministry of Electric Power and Ministry of Energy. The Union minister met township electrical managers and township electrical engineers and officials from the Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation, district electricity managers and district electrical engineers at the Conference Hall (Head Office) of the Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation yesterday morning.
The Ministry of Electric Power is working on it to meet the electricity demand and to get renewable energy in power generation and develop in a variety of ways, as Yangon Region’s electricity consumption is increasing.
In addition, electricians are supervising the expansion of the power transmission section, voltage, and distribution sections.
The Union minister urged officials to use the stage budget systematically for the development of the electricity sector.
The main goal of our ministry is to minimize the loss of electricity to the public and maintain the stable voltage distribution in a timely manner. The Union minister suggested officials cooperate in the electricity billing and security processes. —MNA
