Bago region chief minister calls for relevant department/organizational cooperation for tourism development

The coordination meeting (3/2022) of the Bago Region Tourism Committee is in progress.

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win called for the relevant departmental/organizational cooperation to speed up the recovery and revival of the regional tourism affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
He remarked at the Regional Tourism Committee’s coordination meeting (3/2022) held in Bago yesterday morning.
Along with the reduction of COVID-19 cases in the region, there were five international package tours and visits from Thai tourists in July. The Bago regional government is working to upgrade historical buildings and identify new tourist destinations. With the construction of cultural recreational places, efforts are being made to make Bago city clean and beautiful, the chief minister said.
At the meeting, the regional director of the Hotels and Tourism Directorate presented the application for a new hotel business licence, the renewal of the travel company business licence and the tourist guide licence, and the prototypes that will be exhibited at the Nay Pyi Taw Gallery on World Tourism Day.
Afterwards, committee members made suggestions and discussed the presentations, and the chief minister urged them to conduct the tasks under the law and rule. — MNA
