A fish carrier ship was burned while being repaired at the Aalatchaung Dockyard in Kyimyindine Township at 10 am on 17 August.
“The carrier vessel was burned from welding when it was docked for repair. The worker was welding inside before burning. We would know after checking where and how it started. Nobody hurts,“ said a fire brigade member. The upper side of the ship was destroyed and the fire was controlled at 10:55 am, according to the Myanmar Fire Service Department. The MFSD said fire engines from Kyimyindine Township Fire Station, Satsan Fire Station, Kamayut Township Fire Station, and Seikkyi/Khanaungto Township Fire Station were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire.
