Daesunpa Pagoda, Moeyungyi Wildlife Sanctuary and Wingaba Elephant Camp crowded with visitors on Thadingyut holidays

Pilgrims visited the Daesunpa Pagoda in Wanbeinn Village, Bago Region on 10 October (1st waning of Thadingyut, 1384 ME). Recreation areas such as the Moeyungyi Sanctuary and the Wingaba Elephant Camp were crowded with people as well.
In addition to the Daesunpa Pagoda in Wanbeinn Village, Bago Region, pagodas and temples in the township were full of monks, nuns and people that offered oil lamps to and worshipped the pagodas as per the COVID-19 health rules.
Similarly, the Moeyungyi Sanctuary in Waw Township was also packed with visitors who watched birds, went boating in the lake, photographed or videoed the natural views and water birds, traditional fishing methods of residents and viewed the displays in the environmental education gallery.
It is also known that guests were enjoying their holidays at the Wingaba Elephant Camp, located about 1.5 miles from the expressway and four miles away from the Phayagyi intersection in Bago Township, watching the performance of elephants and riding them. — Soe Moe (IPRD)/GNLM
