Myanmar to compete in 19th Asian Games

Myanmar will compete in the 19th Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou, the People’s Republic of China, according to the press conference of the Asian Games held at 3 pm yesterday at the National Indoor Stadium-1 in Yangon.
“The Fun Run is held in all Asian countries to commemorate the 19th Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou, the People’s Republic of China. Our country is the 15th country to do so. By doing this, people will be able to know a certain extent about the Asian Games. As for the Asian Games, it will be based on the upcoming SEA Games.
“Since the Asian Games will be held in September after the SEA Games, the players will not need to train separately and will be selected based on the standards that will be held at the SEA Games,” said U Tun Myint Oo, Director-General of the Sports and Physical Education Department.
An event will be held in Myanmar in commemoration of the 19th Asian Games at Kyaikkasan Stadium, Tamway Township, Yangon Region starting from 8 am on 10 March. — Bala Soe/KZL
