24 cases of passenger fare upcharges found during Thingyan

According to the Yangon Region Transport Committee (YRTC), 24 cases of asking for higher passenger fares were reported during Thingyan.
It is said that YRTC has summoned bus line officials and drivers for charging more passenger fares than the set rate.
A total of 63 bus lines and 1,288 vehicles operated during the Thingyan Festival.
During this period, YRTC had informed all the bus lines not to charge more than the set rate, and if they ask for more, they will be taken action until the closure of CNG and permanent dismissal from the bus line. — TWA/KZL
