Successful conclusion of ADMM-Plus Counter-Terrorism tabletop exercise bolstering regional security

The ADMM-Plus Experts Working Group on Counter-Terrorism Tabletop Exercise concludes successfully in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

The ADMM-Plus Experts’ Working Group on Counter-Terrorism (EWG on CT) tabletop exercise hosted by Myanmar from 2 to 4 August 2023 successfully concluded at Park Royal Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Myanmar and Russian senior military officers led the discussions on the military operation plan with an exercise held on 3 August, and senior military officers from other countries actively participated in the discussions.
Delegates from ASEAN and dialogue partner countries Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam together with co-chairs Myanmar and Russia joined the exercise.
On the morning of the third-day exercise, those delegates observed the skill demonstration of the special task force squad members of Myanmar Tatmadaw at the local training depot and continued their tabletop exercise in the afternoon. In the evening, they were served with dinner.
The delegates visited the Defence Services Museum, the National Museum, and the Gems Museum. They also visited Uppatasanti Pagoda and Maravijaya Buddha Image.
Such a tabletop exercise was an exercise hosted by Myanmar and Russia as co-chairs for the counter-terrorism among seven defence and security cooperation areas among ASEAN countries and dialogue partner countries. — MNA/TTA
