The closing ceremony of Fresher Course No 1/2022 for Assistant Senior Auditors was held at 2 pm on 30 May at the Assembly Hall of the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union in Nay Pyi Taw in line with COVID-19 rules and regulations.
At the ceremony, Prof Dr Kan Zaw, the Union Auditor-General, delivered an address that aims to understand proficiently the essential basic subjects for start-up new staff and train them theoretically and practically; he believed that learning from the training can be applied in their fieldwork, as the staff of the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union are auditors who conduct auditing whether the activities implemented with the public fund in the public sector are actually and efficiently obtained by the public; therefore, staff need to meet the required skills, knowledge and profession as well as try to apply the International Standards of Auditing in changing era. As auditing is a process performed with teamwork, the team members should cooperate by following leaders and need to build a good relationship with mutual respect in communication with departments and organizations.
Then he mentioned that trainees who are civil servants should try to be faithful to the nation, follow the law, rules, and regulations exactly in their respective roles, and become good civil servants who perform their work dutifully while following ethics.
During the training for three weeks face to face, each from Head Office and Union Territory, and 38 trainees from Regions and States, a total of 40 trainees attended.
The permanent secretary, the director-general of Audit Department, the deputy permanent secretary, the deputy directors-general, responsible persons, the trainers and accomplished trainees attended the ceremony. — GNLM
