CBM Governor receives officials of Myanmar Credit Bureau

The Central Bank of Myanmar holds talks with officials of the Myanmar Credit Bureau yesterday.

The meeting between the governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar and the chairman, board members and officials of the Myanmar Credit Bureau took place at the Central Bank of Myanmar, Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
CBM Deputy Governor Dr Lin Aung, the directors-general and deputy directors-general of the Central Bank of Myanmar attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the CBM governor said that it is necessary to quickly provide access to credit, access to finance, trade financing and credit facilities for the SMEs, agriculture, manufacturing and service industries, for the Myanmar Credit Bureau to provide complete and accurate credit information for implementation of better credit risk management and draft and submit a plan to gather credit information from non-bank financial institutions (NBFI).
Afterwards, the chairman, board members and officials of Myanmar Credit Bureau explained the progress of Myanmar Credit Bureau.
Then, CBM Governor Daw Than Than Swe said that such meetings between the CBM and MCB will be conducted regularly and it is necessary to continue to make efforts to obtain information on loans in a timely manner for the stable development of the banking sector, as discussed in the meeting. — MNA/CT
