Drugs seized in Chanmyathazi, PyinOoLwin townships

A combined team comprising members of the Anti-Drug Police Force conducted an inspection of a motorbike driven by Nay Myo Sat Aung (aka) Ko Nay, accompanied by Myo Thet Oo, and a Toyota Crown driven by Po Po Hein, accompanied by Ma Thida Aye, in Chanmyathazi township at 5:30 pm on 30 July. The team successfully apprehended 29,250 stimulant tablets during the operation.
Similarly, at 8 am on 28 July the police force examined a 12-wheel Mitsubishi Fuso driven by Aik Sam on Mandalay-Lashio Road in PyinOoLwin. They seized 7,200 litres of a restricted chemical, namely hydrochloric acid. All the offenders involved in these incidents are currently facing prosecution under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. — MNA/MKKS
