Drugs seized in Kawkareik, Kutkai and Nawnghkio townships

A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a motorbike driven by Zaw Win (aka) Mar Mah accompanied by Win Swe Oo (aka) Ah Kyee Gaung at the combined checkpoint in Tadakyoe village in Kawkareik township at noon on 19 April. A total of 3,700 stimulant tablets were found.
At 1 pm on the same day, Myanmar Police Force searched the house of Ma Min Wam Chin (aka) Ah Shan in Ward 8 of Kutkai township and seized 3,000 stimulant tablets.
At 8:45 am on the same day, Myanmar Police Force examined the house of Ah Tar Soe in the Railway Station Ward of Nawnghkio township and captured 27,000 stimulant tablets.
The suspects were prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, it is learnt. — MNA/MKKS
