Electrification and no shortages of fuel are the primary duty of the ministry: MoEE Union Minister

Union Minister U Aung Than Oo is making the inspection tour around the petrochemical petroleum factory yesterday.

Service personnel from oil fields should strive for the production of a larger volume of natural gas to generate electricity and crude oil for oil refineries through various ways and means, Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Aung Than Oo said at the meeting with staff from Petrochemical Factories (Thanbayagan) yesterday.
He noted that as the supply of electricity for the State and no shortages of fuel are the primary duty of the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, departmental heads to encourage staff and personnel to soonest finish the projects.
He stressed the need for timely completion of implementing power cable and sub-power station construction project. He pointed out emphasis must be placed on the distribution of household electric meters to the people as quickly as possible.
During his inspection tour of Htaukshabin/Kani oilfield and Mann oilfield, the union minister inspected the supply of electricity to the oilfields.
He also viewed the production of condensate, petroleum, fuel oil and liquefied petroleum gas at Petrochemical Factories (Thanbayagan), which refines 300,000 gallons of crude oil per day.
He also looked into the storage of crude oil in Htaukshabin and Kani oilfield and pumping units in Mann oilfield. — MNA
