FIFA meets MFF officials for football forward programme

Officials from FIFA, Mehmet Dirlik (FIFA governance programme coordinator), Leonard Gabriel Gruter (FIFA governance program coordinator), Lavin Vigneshl (MA development officer), and Niko Nhouvannasak (project coordinator) visited Myanmar from 14 to 16 January and met with officials from the Myanmar Football Federation for ensuring the FIFA Forward Program runs smoothly.
The FIFA has provided funds to the MFF for the FIFA Forward Program, and currently, the Myanmar Football Federation is making efforts to develop Myanmar football standards with the help of the FIFA programme.
The FIFA officials met with counselor of the Myanmar Football Federation, U Than Zaw, general secretary of the the football federation, U Ko Ko Thein, and financial officials from the Myanmar Football Federation and discussed Myanmar’s football
plans.
The FIFA officials then inspected ongoing construction work of the new National Futsal Stadium and the training stadium, the condition of the Thuwunna Stadium and fitness center, dressing rooms at the stadium, and the AFC Mini Pitch, which has been constructed with funds from the Asian Football Confederation.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
