Full-dress rehearsal held for opening ceremony of Thingyan Pandal in Mandalay

The full-dress rehearsal for the opening ceremony of the Mandalay City Maha Thingyan Pandal was held on the evening of 11 April at the pavilion on 26 Street between 71 and 72 streets in Mandalay.
First, the participants took their seats in various designated places and Thingyan reading, ribbon cutting and Myoma silver swan paying respects were rehearsed.
In addition, more than 900 people including 500 students and dance troops from the Mandalay City Development Committee and the National Culture and Arts University participated in the full-dress rehearsal along with the Thar Bonaing Myanmar traditional music band (Saing) by playing, singing and dancing with the Thingyan songs named “Chan Aye Zay Myee Mandalay Thingyan” and “Mahn Taung Yeik Kho”. — Maung Aye Chan/KZL
