Illegal timbers, fuel oil, crude oil, motorbikes and vehicles confiscated

The combined on-duty teams under the management of the Magway Region Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force confiscated 25 gallons of illegal crude oil and a Kenbo 110 motorbike valued at K275,000 in Minbu township and three unregistered motorbikes worth K900,000 near the Ayeyawady bridge in Magway township on 11 December. These actions were taken under the Public Property Protection Law and the Export and Import Law.
During inspections on 12 December, the combined teams seized 700 gallons of informal diesel oil worth K3.36 million without official documents in Monywa township and a Nissan UD (approximately K18 million) carrying 1.129 tonnes of illegal teak and 5.956 tonnes of illegal other timbers worth K3,665,550 near the Milepost 2/2 on Nay Pyi Taw-Yangon expressway. The action was conducted under the Forest Law.
Thirteen arrests were made on 11 and 12 December, with an estimated value of K14,966,524 million, as reported by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee. — MNA/MKKS
