Each township from Bago region has received K10 million for facility quarantine camps on 31 March at Taw Win Hintha hall of Bago regional government office.
At the cash-assistance giving ceremony, Chief Minister U Win Thein of Bago Region said that the committees are taking preventive measures against Covid-19. Myanmar nationals are still returning from abroad to their native towns. If we can conduct systematic home quarantine and facility quarantine, the treatment will be more effective. We also need to do an awareness campaign on protection from Covid-19 infection. If people do not follow the rules and regulations during their home quarantine and facility quarantine periods, they need to know the action will be taken against them according to the existing laws.   The chairpersons of the Covid-19 prevention committees and related ministers received K10 million for facility quarantine camps in each township of Bago Region. Then, the officials from the related ministries and departments presented the necessities and the chief minister made his instructions to buy more medical supplies.
Up to 30 March, there are 165 facility quarantine camps for the returnees abroad in Bago district, in addition to 146 camps in Pyay district, and122 camps in Thayarwady district, where a total of 3,201 departmental staff are providing medical services to these people. —Tin Soe (Bago) (Translated by Hay Mar)
