Lawsuit filed against unlawful CRPH for forming parallel government

The unlawful CRPH (Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw) illegally formed the National Unity Government comprised of 14 members and 12 deputy ministers on 16 April 2021.
On the same day, the NUG members and deputy ministers held the oaths of the office via video conferencing, which was led by Patron U Aung Kyi Nyunt, former Amyotha Hluttaw MP of Constituency 6 in Magway Region, and Dr Wai Pyo Aung, former Pyithu Hluttaw MP for Thakayta Township served as MC at the ceremony.
Such formation of illegal parallel government by CRPH is an attempt to affect the State Administration Council-led government, which stands under the Constitution.
The cases are opened against those taking part or making efforts in forming the parallel government for committing High Treason under Section 122 of the Penal Code while those who join the activities or organizations set by the CRPH under Section 17(1) of the Unlawful Associations Act at the respective courts and police stations.
Therefore, the lawsuits against the following persons— unlawful parallel government members, deputy ministers, and those participating in forming the parallel government were launched.
