Mandalay hosts 3rd Small-Scale Industrial Products, Myanmar Arts & Crafts exhibition

The Mandalay Region Small- Scale Industries Department is holding the Third Small-Scale Industrial Products and Myanmar traditional Arts and Crafts Exhibition and Sale at Mingalar Mandalay Promotion Area, Chanmyathasi Township, Mandalay from 22 to 24 December. The exhibition is being held with the aim of developing small-scale industries, to connect with the small- and medium-sized enterprises, for small industry products to reach local and foreign markets, to acquire technology and financial assistance and to promote Myanmar traditional arts and crafts. At the exhibition, Mandalay Region Chief Minister Dr. Zaw Myint Maung delivered the opening speech and formally opened the exhibition.
Thereafter, the regional chief minister and responsible officials concerned visited the small industry showroom and Myanmar traditional arts and crafts, in the exhibition area.
A total of 120 showrooms are exhibiting their products, which include 60 Myanmar traditional arts and crafts showrooms, 27 food showrooms, 16 consumer and cosmetics showrooms, and 17 general industry showrooms.
The exhibition is held in conjunction with a small industry development seminar. Visitors can also enjoy the entertainment programmes held to promote the products.—Maung Pyithu (Mandalay) (Translated by Hay Mar)
