MNHRC pays field visit to Training School for Girls

The inspection team, led by Commissioners U Kyaw Myint and Dr Myint Thu Myaing from the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, inspected the Training School for Girls in Mingaladon Township, Yangon Region on 20 September 2023.
The inspection team inspected the Training School for Girls under the MNHRC Law and procedures whether the girls who are detained in the Training School can get fundamental rights including the status of Covid-19 vaccination and healthcare services, food supply, adequate dormitories, availability status of Citizenship Scrutiny Card, provision of purified drinking water, a support programme for physical and mental development, as well as right to education, learn, vocational training, communicate with their families, reintegration, and freedom of religion.
MNHRC will send recommendations to the relevant development on the findings during the inspection visits. — MNHRC
