Myanmar Trade Centre (Kunming) unveiled in Yunnan Province

The Myanmar Trade Centre (Kunming City) was opened at China (Yunnan) Pilot Free Trade Zone in Kunming City, Yunnan Province of the People’s Republic of China, on 31 March, according to the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization under the Ministry of Commerce.
The establishment of the centre is the result of collaboration between the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization and the Consulate-General of Myanmar in Kunming, including relevant Chinese authorities from Yunnan Province.
The Myanmar Trade Centre (Kunming) is operated by a joint venture between AJ Myanmar Co Ltd from Myanmar and Kunming Aosidi International Trade Co Ltd from China, with the aim of facilitating investment exchange between the two nations.
Through this centre, the operators will facilitate the growth of exports from Myanmar to China, the flow of investments from China to Myanmar, the introduction of Myanmar products, and the invitation of investments by showcasing economic opportunities in Myanmar.
Nearly 150 participants, including Consul-General U Thaw Ta Aung, Commercial Attaché U Lian Sian Mung, Director-General Daw Naw Muta Kapaw of the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization, Chinese government officials from Yunnan Province, and traders, attended the opening ceremony of the Myanmar Trade Centre (Kunming) in Kunming City, China. — ASH/ TH
