National-level political dialogue for ethnic groups (Kayin) continues

The 2nd day meeting of the national-level political dialogue (Kayin) attended by members of the presiding committee was held at the Hpa-An Hotel yesterday morning.
The meeting was opened by saluting the Kayin National Flag, followed by the opening speech by Naw Dar Dar, a member of the presiding committee.
In addition, Naw Dar Dar, acting as master of ceremonies, read out the format of the dialogue, with the types of discussions by sectors explained by Saw Zaw Lin on behalf of the Facilitator Team, and representatives in four groups present at the meeting discussing political, social, economic and land/natural resource sectors.
Pa Do Saw Thamein Tun, central executive committee member of the Karen National Union (KNU) made a closing address.
In the second day meeting, Kayin national representatives discussed the issuance of a paper by sectors, with the revised paper to be submitted to representatives on the third day of the meeting, it is learnt.—Saw Myo Min Thein (Information and Public Relations Department)
