Regional MSME agencies already established for development of MSME businesses

The Ministry of Industry has already established regional MSME agencies to develop MSMEs in Myanmar, said the Union Minister for Industry on 25 June.
Regional MSME development agencies have been established in regions/states, including self-administrated zones and division in Shan State, and the respective agencies have to continue to work on MSME registration.
The Union Minister said that agencies must report their activities to the work committee, which has to report to the Central committee. MSMEs can apply for a member card via the MSME Web Portal and payment can be made by e-Payment. In addition, the SME temporary registration certificates will be issued together with the SME member card.
If the SME Law is enacted with amendments, the registration certificates will be issued to micro-enterprises. Additionally, the fast and accurate methods will be employed to keep abreast of ASEAN countries, and the Central committee will provide support to enrich the digital technology of MSMEs and make the digital economy more efficient. — TWA/MKKS
