SAC-conferred honorary titles presented

The State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister conferred honorary titles on recipients individually on 1 and 2 January in marking the 75th Anniversary (Diamond Jubilee) Independence Day.
Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Yangon Command Commander Maj-Gen Nyunt Win Swe and officials yesterday visited and handed over honorary titles to family members of those who were unable to attend the conferring ceremony on their own and on their behalf due to various reasons.
On behalf of deputy minister for construction U Kyin Hlaing (deceased), son U Myint Htay received the Wunna Kyaw Htin title; on behalf of deputy minister for industry 2 U Kyaw Za (deceased), son U Ye Wint Kyaw received the Wunna Kyaw Htin title; on behalf of deputy minister for home and religious affairs U Por Thein (deceased), son U Kyaw Soe received the Wunna Kyaw Htin title; on behalf of minister for home and religious affairs Colonel Boni (deceased), son-in-law U Soe Win received the Thiri Pyanchi title; on behalf of artiste Sithu Bokalay Tint Aung (deceased), daughter Daw Soe Soe Tint received the Alinka Kyawswa title, and on behalf of Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Commodore Thaung Tin (retd) (deceased), daughter Daw Tin Kyi Tin received the Sithu title at their homes respectively.
Similarly, Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr Aung Kyaw Min presented the Thiri Pyanchi title to Rakhine National Party Central Executive Member U San Kyaw Hla at the ceremony held at the Rakhine State government office yesterday and took a documentary group photo.
In addition, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win and officials presented the Thiri Pyanchi title to grandson U Thein Oo on behalf of Thakin Lwin (aka) U Po Thin (deceased) at their home in Kantali village in Zigon Township. — MNA/TS
