Senior General calls on Nepali President

Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing called on Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal President Mrs Bidya Devi Bhandari at M Gallery by Sofitel Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

At the meeting the Nepali, President spoke of her happiness to meet again with Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief, appreciation of the warm welcome accorded in the visit to Myanmar, development of friendship and cooperation between Nepal and the Tatmadaw, the important role played by the Tatmadaw in the development of Myanmar, maintaining peace and security in addition to her expectation of increased cooperation between the two military in development matters.
In return, the Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief spoke of his happiness to meet again with the President, leaders of the two countries exchanging visits after his visit to Nepal in 2017 being a sign of establishing bilateral friendship and positive signs seen in the present status of cooperation between the two countries and the two military.
Also in the meeting exchanging personnel from the two military to training courses; cooperating in sports and medical matters; status of exchanging friendly visits; opportunities to increase economy, trade and travel through friendly relation and engagement between the people of the two countries; the two military protecting the sovereignty and the people and becoming the pride of the respective country; both military raising the role and participation of women; Tatmadaw participating in democracy reform and strengthening the political system; status of bilateral cooperation on increasing friendship between the two military; Nepal President respecting and being proud Nepal military while considering Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief and Tatmadaw personnel as family members; and the visit to Myanmar being a success were discussed, according to news released by Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief Office.—MNA
