All Tatmadaw members need to understand the efforts of the Prime Minister to hold the peace talks with invitation to the EAOs, said Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win in separately meetings with servicemen and families from Zadetgyi Island and Kawthoung station yesterday.
At the meeting hall of Zadetgyi Island, officials reported to the Vice-Senior General on progress of four military building tasks.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Senior General said Tatmadaw members took oaths by touching the State flag since they have joined the Tatmadaw. They have to be loyal to the State and the Tatmadaw. During the one year and three months period in the state of emergency declared by the State Administration Council, terrorist groups attempted to commit the utter devastation against the State. As their efforts failed, they make more attempts to break up the Tatmadaw and security forces. Some foreign countries provide them to do so for their geopolitic interests. Hence, servicemen have to cooperate with administrative bodies and local people to protect the water and land resources to be free from losses.
All Tatmadaw members need to understand the efforts of the Prime Minister to hold the peace talks with invitation to the EAOs. Officials must fulfill the needs of servicemen and families. As such, they will serve the security and operation duties without any worries over their families. All Tatmadaw members need to follow the healthy lifestyle with dos and don’ts for ensuring the health and fitness. The Vice-Senior General then fulfilled the needs of officers, other ranks and families.
The Vice-Senior General presented foodstuffs for servicemen and families through officials. In the afternoon, the Vice-Senior General comforted servicemen, familie and people receiving medical treatment at the military hospital in Kawthoung and presented foodstuffs and cash assistance to them.
The Vice-Senior General and party viewed round the kitchen and mess hall of the hospital and presented cash assistance for health staff from the hospital through the commandant of the hospital.—MNA
