State Peace Talks Team discusses with DKBA delegation on second-day meeting

The State Peace Talks Team met representatives from the Democratic Karen Benevolent Army-DKBA at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre’s meeting room in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Member of the State Administration Council and Union Minister at the Office of the Union Government (1) Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Leader of the Peace Talks Team Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Member of the State Administration Council Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, Secretary of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Lt-Gen Min Naung, DKBA Commander-in-Chief Saw Steel along with members Saw Sein Win and Saw Kyaw Than Htay attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the agreements contained in Part I, II and III of the Union Accord were discussed.
Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein, an NSPNC member, explained the findings of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee on the remaining points in Table 2 for further discussion in Part III.
The two sides then talked about peace and development issues and signed the of agreements after three days of negotiations.
Afterwards, DKBA Commander-in-Chief Saw Steel and State Peace Talks Team Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae made concluding remarks.
Books of the Diamond Jubilee of Union Day published by the Ministry of Information, Myanma Encyclopaedia volume 1 and gifts were presented after their discussion. — MNA
