Strong winds destroy over 150 homes in Dimawhso

Strong winds and torrential rains destroyed about 154 houses in Dimawhso Township of Kayah State on 21 May.
Ninety-five houses were destroyed in Okay Village, four in Dawbuku Village, seven in Leego Village, three in Nam San Kham Village, two in Phaungtaw Village, 39 in Nam Mae Khone Village, and one house each in Phayar Phyu, Dawkamee, Kapaeku, and Hsin Taung villages.
Strong winds also destroyed around 27 houses in the Hsin Taung village-tract in Dimawhso Township on 21 May. Officials from the concerned departments are making the necessary arrangements to provide assistance to
people.
Kayah State Agricultural, Livestock, and Irrigation Minister U Boss Ko and officials are visiting the villages and distributing relief materials to them.—Yee Yae (Dimawhso)
