Task Force of Working Committee to address impact of COVID-19 on national economy meets

The Task Force of the Working Committee to address the Impact of COVID-19 on the National Economy meeting 1/2023 was held in a hybrid manner yesterday morning at the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, Yangon Region Office.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Wah Wah Maung, Deputy Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations who is also the leader of the task force. Members of the task force as well as credit supervisors from states and regions and representatives from the Ministries and Organizations also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, it was discussed the provision of a loan amount of K158.4438 billion for 5,990 companies and enterprises which include the sectors such as agriculture, livestock, manufacturing, restaurant, fisheries, hotels, tourism and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), including CMP enterprises. Success Story Survey will be conducted for monitoring and evaluation process of loan-received companies and enterprises.
The meeting also discussed the collection of loans including interest amounts and the preparation of the Success Story Survey. —MNA
