Maintenance work on the 230 kV Shweli-Mansan No 2 power line will be carried out on 27 August, according to the Yangon Electricity Supply Cooperation.
The enamel of tower No 215 of the 230 kV Shweli-Mansan No 2 power line was found to have broken. So, the 230 kV Shweli-Mansan No 1/2 power line will be shut down and the maintenance and repair work will be done from 7 am to 4 pm on 27 August.
It is reported that while the work is underway, the power output from the Shweli power plant in the power system network will be reduced by about 400 mW, so load reduction will be adjusted.
It is announced that there will be temporary power outages in some townships in Yangon Region during periods of high electricity consumption and that measures will be taken to ensure that there are no power outages in important areas. — TWA/GNLM
