Nay Pyi Taw, 11 May — Vice President U Nyan Tun and Chinese State Councillor and Secretary General of the State Council Mr Yang Jing of the People’s Republic of China held discussions on Monday to promote bilateral ties between the two countries.
The meeting at the Shwe San Ein Hotel focused on promotion of strategic cooperation between the two countries, the visits of senior government officials, trade, energy, oil and gas, supports of PR China for development programmes in Myanmar and sustaining non-intervention policy on sovereignty and internal affairs.
Also present on the occasion were union ministers, deputy ministers and the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar.
The vice president hosted a special dinner to Chinese delegation at the same venue. MNA
