YRIC approves three investments worth K3,779.972 mln, US$0.605 mln

Three new investments, with the potential to create job opportunities for 877 workers and a total value of K3,779.972 million and US$0.605 million, have received approval, as announced by U Myo Khine Oo, director of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (Yangon Region). Among these approved investments, two are 100 per cent Myanmar citizen-owned, and one is 100 per cent foreigner-owned, all within the industrial sector in Yangon Region.
“The Yangon Region Investment Committee meeting 11/2023, held on 22 November, decided to greenlight these three investments,” stated U Myo Khine Oo.
In addition to these three investments, the Yangon Region Investment Committee has also approved new investments, increased investment amounts, and expanded workforces in November.
To foster job opportunities, new investments by Myanmar citizens and foreign investors are allowed monthly, following established laws and procedures. — ASH/ZS
