Police arrest 39 suspects who arrange to join training at ethnic armed groups, commit explosions in Yangon

The security forces conduct predictive search and arrest to stop the terrorists and NLD members/supporters from committing explosions in some townships.
The police received information that the unscrupulous persons would explode and join military training at the ethnic armed groups. So they raided the house of Khin Nyein Thu, who lives in No (16) Yan Naing street of No (4) Ward in Yankin Township on 17 April. They arrested her, including Yan Naing Soe, Min Khant Naung, Swan Pyae Lin, Wunna Tun and Su Lin Htet, together with 48 handmade mines, 20 bars of mild gunpowder, 20 detonators, 10 ft long soft TNT ignite rope and other materials used in riots.
According to the investigation, Ma Khin Nyein Thu and other suspects conducted arson attacks and other acts of terrorism in Yankin Township.
According to the testimony of Khin Nyein Thu, Thura Aung, Swan Htet Hline Thaw, Phone Myat Win and Sithu left for Kayah State to join military training of the ethnic armed group. The security members arrested these three youths at the Pekhon township inspection gate on 18 April. But Si Thu was still at large.

Moreover, police also arrested other suspects, who arranged to join the ethnic armed groups in Kayah State, Kaung Set Soe in Yankin Township and Paing Thant (aka) Joe at his house located in Shwe Yadana street of No (6) Ward in Mayangon Township together with gunpowder and other materials.
According to the words of other suspects, the police arrested Kyaw Ko Ko together with handmade bomb and other explosive materials in South Okkalapa Township on 29 April, Than Htet Ko Ko, Khant Sithu, Phyo Maung Maung Hein, Hein Wai Yan and Wai Lin Tun together with their materials used in riots.
The suspect Khant Si Thu and his friends conducted a handmade mine explosion at Wa Ha Ha phone and accessories shop in South Okkalapa Township.
Moreover, on 30 April, the security forces arrested Zeyar Naing, Thurein Lin, Hein Min Thu, Zwe Marn Pyae, Min Thant Han, Aung Myat Moe, Htet Aung Lwin, Yoon Nadi Lwin and Kyaw Htin at their houses, respectively.

Similarly, on 1 May, Soe Ko Ko was arrested in Thingangyun Township while Nay Lin Tun (aka) Ashay Gyi in South Okkalapa Township on 2 May and Phyo Wai Win (aka) Ba Gyi Phyo and Aung Thu Phyo in South Okkalapa township on 6 May.
According to the investigation, the suspect Soe Ko Ko and the party exploded a bomb on YBS (14) in Parami bus terminal in South Okkalapa Township.
Moreover, police also arrested Khun Pyae Phyo, who lives in Thakayta Township on 8 May, and Pyae Sone, Htet Arkar, Yazar Phyo, Shine Htet Aung, Ko Ko Maung, Sit Min Hein and Nanda Sitt Aung. According to the words of those eight suspects, the security forces raided the Standard lab on Shu Khin Thar road in Thakayta Township on 8 May. They seized 2 bottles of sodium chloride, 4 bottles of black gunpowder, 2 bottles of magnesium, 1 bag of potassium nitrate and other materials. Police also raided Tagun Tine Monastery in Thakayta Township, Thadawimotti Monastery in Thanlyin Township and seized explosive materials. Police then raided Thayargone Monastery in Thanlyin Township and arrested U Win Zaw (aka) U Yasa Dhamma, who kept the materials of suspect Nanda Sitt Aung together with explosive materials.
The security forces arrested a total of 39 suspects, including Khin Nyein Thu, who committed destructive acts to deteriorate the State tranquillity and the rule of law. Action will the taken against the suspects under the law. — MNA
