Union Information Minister inspects central press in Yangon

The MoI Union Minister inspects around the central press in Yangon yesterday.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn visited the Central Press of the Printing and Publishing Department yesterday evening in Yangon.
The Union Minister firstly met with the departmental officials and addressed the meeting. He said it is learned that the central press has long been a printing and publishing place of historical records of the country, and the Prime Minister strongly encourages the print media. The civil servants need to provide the public with accurate knowledge through the print media as well as the right ideas to the young people on the path to future democracy, he continued.
The Union Minister added the importance to transform print media into a modern one, and he urged the employees to work together for the development of the print media business.
Deputy Director-General of the Printing and Publishing Department U Ko Ko Naing presented the history and operation of the Central Press, and the Union Minister inspected its operation. — MNA
