Union Auditor-General makes clarifications and instructions on the Office Procedures at the Closing Ceremony of the Upgrading Training No 1/2021 for Staff Officers and In-house Skill Development Training No 36 for Senior Auditors

The ceremony of making clarifications and instructions on the office procedures of the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union by the Union Auditor-General was held at 10 am yesterday morning at the Assembly Hall of the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union, Nay Pyi Taw in line with the Covid- 19 rules and regulations at the closing ceremony of the Upgrading Training No 1/2021 for Staff Officers and In-house skill Development Training No 36 for Senior Auditors, which had been held at the Nay Pyi Taw Training School, the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union.
At the ceremony, Dr Kan Zaw, the Union Auditor-General, delivered an address that he had to make clarifications and instructions on the office procedures of the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union in order to achieve skill development and effectiveness to become better and rapid in carrying out the duties of the Office of the Auditor General of the Union.
He emphasized that the Government of the State assumed and was implementing the responsibilities of the State in accordance with the Five – Point Road Map, Nine Political, Economic and Social Objectives; the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union was striving for more effectiveness in auditing; it was essential to well understand the prescriptions regarding the duties from the Section 11 (a) to 11 (aa) and responsibilities in the Auditor-General of the Union Law, and perform in compliance with the theme, “ Control in order to improve the Public Finance Management”.
He also stated that the Office was systematically providing series of training classifying as Human Resources Development Training and Capacity Building Training; therefore staff members are required to actively take part in the programme of learning themselves, training and nurturing, and knowledge sharing.
Then he mentioned that staff members should try to become good civil servants who can keep abreast internationally for the development of the State and the interest of the people, and perform their work dutifully in line with the Auditor-General of the Union Law by performing their duties in accordance with law, rules and regulations, and ethics honestly and with integrity, and the ceremony concluded.
The Upgrading Training No 1/2021 for Staff Officers and In-house Skill Development Training No 36 for Senior Auditors had been held for two months, and 106 Staff Officers and 58 Senior Auditors totalling 164 trainees from the Head Office and Audit Offices within the Union territory attended the training.
The Permanent Secretary, the Director-General (Audit Department), Deputy Permanent Secretary, Deputy Directors-General, Directors, and accomplished trainees attended the ceremony.—MNA
