15th ASEAN-China education cooperation week, 3rd ASEAN-China Education Ministers Roundtable Conference opened

The 2022 ASEAN-China Education Cooperation Week was launched in southwest China’s Guizhou Province at 7:30 am yesterday and the Ministers of Education from ASEAN member countries and Dr Zaw Myint, Deputy Minister for Education, Myanmar attended virtually.
The Standing Committee member of the Guizhou Province of the Communist Party of China and the ASEAN alternate Chairmanship of Cambodia Minister of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports and the ASEAN Secretary-General delivered opening speeches during the opening ceremony. Afterwards, the Vice premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China delivered the speech.
Next, the 3rd ASEAN-China Education Ministers Roundtable Conference was held at 8:30 am and the Ministers of Education from ASEAN countries attended the meeting via videoconferencing.
Deputy Minister Dr Zaw Myint participated in the discussion on the topic of improving the quality of human resources, qualifications of students and teachers and capacity of staff from admin/finance sections and also discussed the issues of promoting ASEAN-China Education Cooperation, and exchanged views amongst China-ASEAN Education Ministers. —MNA
