170 Japanese companies in Japan plan to recruit over 500 Myanmar workers

The Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo announced on 14 October that 170 Japanese companies will recruit over 500 Myanmar workers.
According to the announcement with the Myanmar Embassy of Tokyo, the Ministry of Labour is verifying job offer letters (Demand Letters) sent through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a timely manner.
In carrying out such verification, the labour inspection company in Japan must verify whether the factories and companies recruiting workers are legally established in Japan.
The inspection findings and comments are being sent back to the Ministry of Labour through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo will provide information regarding 170 job offer letters that were verified and sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between 1 to 14 October, 2022.
The Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo announced that a total of 658 workers among the 227 job offer letters that were sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for verification and reply will be recruited between 1 to 15 September.—TWA/GNLM
