SAC members attend opening ceremony of new concrete road on driveway of Tunt Patai Lake to hail 67th Kayin State Day

As a gesture of hailing of the 67th Anniversary of Kayin State Day, the State Administration Council-SAC members, the Union ministers and the chief minister of Kayin State attended an opening ceremony of the new concrete road which took place at the driveway to Tunt Patai Lake in Kawtthinshu Village-tract, Hpa-an Township yesterday morning.
Firstly, SAC members: Mahn Nyein Maung and Saw Daniel, Union Ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, U Myint Kyaing, Dr Pwint San, U Min Thein Zan, Dr Thet Thet Khine and U Saw Tun Aung Myint, Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo and governmental staff paid obeisance to Venerable Kyaukkalat Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vimala, the chief founder of the Tunt Patai Lake, at the Tunt Patai Chanthagyi Monastery and offered donations.
At the opening ceremony of the new concrete driveway to Tunt Patai Lake, the Kayin State chief minister pointed out that the road expansion of the original entrance road to the lake which was a five furlongs long earthen road has been completed as the 14 feet wide concrete road.
The road was constructed with K194.555 million of State budget (FY 2022-2023) by the Burma Palace company which won the tender. As such, it is easier for residents to travel and can contribute to regional tourism services and the socioeconomic lives of the residents.
Afterwards, SAC members and the party paid a visit to the presentation and demonstration of winter oil crop seeds on Farmer U Maung Shein’s five acres of land and highlighted that the agriculture and livestock sector is mainly important for the State’s economic growth.
Then, they encouraged farmers to make efforts in crop farming and promised to fulfil their needs in the process.
Then, the party provided sunflower seeds to farmers in the State and viewed farmer education galleries and natural fertilizers and chemical fertilizers which were being sold to farmers at low prices. — MNA
